United Airlines Says It Will Offer Travelers Coronavirus Tests At The Airport

In another effort aimed at getting travelers back on planes, United Airlines will begin offering on-the-spot coronavirus testing to some passengers at the airport before they board their flight.

United is beginning this program by offering testing for passengers flying to Hawaii from San Francisco International Airport beginning Oct. 15. The program will use the rapid test from Abbott Laboratories that can provide results in 15 minutes. Other airlines are expected to try rapid passenger testing and Lufthansa announced a similar program on Thursday.
